Your child will bring home a reading book for you to share with them. Please encourage your child to read this book to you, encouraging them to use the pictures to tell the story, spot sounds that they recognise begin to blend words such as ‘b-u-g’. Please write in your child’s reading record book when you have read at home. We will change these books once a week. It is the expectation that all pupils will read their book four to five times a week at home to develop fluency and understanding.
They also have access online ebooks. Each child will be given a login to access this where they have access to additional books to read and complete quizzes.

Every child has access to our letter formation provision where they can practise the formation of each letter in a fun way. They will have a login to access home activities. Click here to find the link to letterjoin
